Chicks with Knives was founded in 2007 by Suzanne Griswold & Rachael Narins and is a collective of women chefs in Los Angeles, with a commitment to Sustainable, Organic, Local and Ethical Food. We create culinary events including underground dinners, a pop-up pickle shop, cooking classes, catering, culinary retreats and more.
Rachael and Suzanne are graduates of The California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Suzanne then completed advanced pastry and chocolate courses in Belgium and France. Combined, we have 17 years of fine dining experience, having worked in 3-star restaurants and other food venues in California and Europe. Rachael is a certified Master Gardener and a certified Master Food Preserver. She is also a food writer and occasionally contributes to the L.A. Times and L.A. Weekly. Suzanne is married and mother to two toddlers who are excellent eaters.
